Fiberglass
Fiberglass is an excellent material for thermal and acoustic insulation when the maximum temperatures to which it will be exposed are approximately 250°C.
In residential environments and buildings, fiberglass insulation is very common and effective. It is also used in certain industrial processes where maximum temperatures are not particularly high. Glass wool is manufactured using sand with a high silica content. The basic structure of fiberglass insulation consists of multiple fibers bonded together with resin. This structure enables the material to trap or absorb air, providing excellent acoustic and thermal insulation simultaneously.
